With this, the country’s total Covid caseload has been pushed to 3,23,93,286 (3.23 crore) while total deaths now stand at 4,33,964.
India’s active cases were recorded at 3,61,340 (3.61 lakh), making it the lowest in 151 days.
The active cases which account for 1.12% of the total cases, are lowest since March 2020, the government release added.
In the last 24 hours, India recorded a total of 36,347 recoveries, pushing the tally of those who have recovered from Covid-19 to 3,15,97,982.
The recovery rate has further improved to 97.54%, highest since March 2020, the government data stated.
Meanwhile, the weekly positivity rate stands at 1.98% – less than 3% for the last 57 days.
The daily positivity rate has been less than 3% for the last 26 days, presently stands at 2%.
A total of 50.45 crore samples have been tested for Covid-19 in the country so far.
Also, 57.61 crore vaccine doses have been administered under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive.
