Bollywood actor Sharad Kelkar enjoys a big fan following and after his small yet impressive stint in Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Laxmii’, he managed to gain the attention of cinema lovers and garnered praises from all corners. The actor who had played the role of a transperson in the film is now doing well for himself in Bollywood. But like scores of people who fight tooth and nail every other day to get where they are in the film industry, Sharad, too had to struggle to become significant. Recently, in an interview, the actor looked back at his struggle and revealed that there was a time when he not only had no money in his bank accounts but also had a loan to pay off. The actor shared, ‘People consider the work and it may be good or bad. But nobody notices the struggle. You came from Delhi, right? I came from Gwalior. People think we both have Mercedes, we dress well and come with our hair groomed well. They don’t know the backstory.’ Here he was talking to the interviewer. He then continued, ‘In my life, I was out of credit cards also. There has been a time like that as well. I had no bank balance. There were so many liabilities. I have to pay off a loan and my credit card has also run dry.’ Sharad has been a part of many popular shows in the past, including ‘Saat Phere: Saloni Ka Safar’, ‘Kuch Toh Log Kahenge’ and ‘Agent Raghav – Crime Branch’. He has acted in films such as ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’ and ‘Bhoomi’.
